I've heard about dental implants. What are they?

They are an excellent way of replacing missing teeth. The titanium implant, osseointegration to the bone, and a full crown goes on top. The result is a natural looking, secure way of replacing teeth.

Are implants good for me?

Dental implants have improved tremendously over the years. Modern implant techonology has now made implants not only safe, they can look great.

How long do implants last?

Statistics indicate that they may last more than 30 years. Once successfully integrated with the surrounding bone, implants have long-term potential as natural teeth, if properly taken care of.

What is the success rate of implants?

Highly successful. There is low infection potential and no rejection by the body. A ninety-five to ninety-eight percent success rate for the lower jaw, and an eighty-six to ninety-two percent success rate for the upper jaw. However, implants must be maintained by the patient with
proper oral hygiene and frequent dental examinations and cleanings.

Are implants costly?

Price ranges from as low as a few thousand ringgit to tens of thousands depending on design, number of missing teeth and bone quality.
