Dr. Foo Chi Chean has over four decades of experience in dentistry since graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Malaya in 1977.
He is now the President, as well as a practising Dental Surgeon and Implantologist at mydentist® Kuala Lumpur, focusing on patient-centred care and minimally invasive procedures.
Specialising in cosmetic dentistry and oral implantology, Dr. Foo is an expert in dental implants, smile makeovers, and wisdom tooth extractions, utilising state-of-the-art technology to consistently achieve successful, aesthetically pleasing, and long-lasting results for his patients.
Dr. Foo’s global leadership in dentistry is demonstrated by his roles as Pacific Rim Representative for the American Academy of Osseointegration and the first Malaysian President of the Asian Oral Implant Academy (Tokyo).
This international recognition is further solidified by prestigious fellowships from the International College of Dentists (Washington), the International Congress of Oral Implantology (USA), and the Asian Oral Implant Academy (Tokyo).
In addition to his acclaim in aesthetic dentistry, he also served as the Consultant Cosmetic Dentist for the Miss Tourism International Pageant and Queen of the Year International Finals.
Among his many accolades, he holds diplomate status from the International Congress of Implantologists (USA), further reinforcing his expertise and contributions to the field.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Foo is a highly respected educator. He has lectured across Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, and Singapore, sharing his expertise with dental professionals worldwide.
His commitment to advancing the field is also reflected in his authorship of “The Winning Smile”, Malaysia’s premier publication on cosmetic dentistry and aesthetic dental solutions.
To this day, Dr. Foo Chi Chean continues to set benchmarks in modern dentistry, making him a cornerstone of the profession in Southeast Asia.
